Don't kill animals

Animal Liberation Now by Peter Singer has been very influential to my thinking on this question.

The essential argument is very simple: animals have feeling and lives and love their families. If you kill animals, they will be sad. Making people sad is bad. Would you like it someone killed you or the ones you love? Probably not.
